WaterLeadership - Improving Bibliometrics for Early Career Researchers
Bibliometrics is an important indicator in research evaluation and can provide quantitative analyses alongside expert knowledge of a research area. However, navigating this can be difficult for researchers. Learn what you need to consider for improving the discoverability of your personal bibliometrics and how this might be helpful throughout your career.

The webinar aims to provide participants with an introductory level understanding of citation analysis and bibliometric visualization, focusing on their use in research evaluation. Participants will learn about the importance of the responsible use of bibliometric data, the problems and limitations associated with its use, and which indicators are appropriate in which contexts. We will show participants how to use Scopus or Web of Science to discover bibliometric data for individual papers and authors, and how to use InCites or SciVal to discover aggregated and normalized bibliometric data for groups of papers and for institutions.
